I'm hoping for Sharron Angle.
Not that I want to see anybody killed or any violence to be done to anyone whatsoever... that would be abhorrent. Nobody should want, especially, for any candidates running for public office to be assassinated. I really really really don't want anybody to be assassinated, much less on the orders of the President of the United States of America. Ever. No exceptions.
Really.
That said, if the President is going to exercise his power to order up death squads to carry out the assassination of American citizens without due process or any judicial review of his targeting decisions, then I'd be curious to know why Sharron Angle shouldn't be on his kill list.
After all, Sharron Angle quite infamously threatened violent revolution against the government of the United States if her political movement were defeated at the ballot box. Her political movement is well-documented to be affiliated with known terrorist organizations with international connections.
And besides, what's the use of having the power to assassinate your political enemies with complete impunity if you're too much of a pussy to use it effectively?
Seriously, Barry. Why wait until after the election? Order your death squads to have her disappeared right now. Send her into some extrajudicial oubliette somewhere, and torture the names of all the other cell leaders out of her with an electric drill. Who's going to stop you? While you're at it, you could send a few piquant messages to the rest of the little tin revolutionaries running around America threatening a violent uprising by capping Glenn Beck's ass.
That is what the latest DOJ filing is all about, isn't it? It wasn't enough to justify the "targeted killings" —which is just a convenient euphemism for state-terrorism —by pointing at the Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF) or the "inherent right of self-defense" as previous filings on this topic have done. No, the latest one actually makes the argument —in all seriousness —that the President doesn't have to explain to any court why he's ordered a wetwork team to drop an American citizen if he asserts that it's a State Secret.
So, in all seriousness, Mr. President... why aren't Sharron Angle and Glenn Beck targeted for assassination yet? Inquiring minds would really like to know.
