I see that Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-Michigan) has finally noticed one of the defining qualities of our compatriots in the Grand Old Party.
"It is very clear that the Republicans in the Senate want this economy to fail. They see that things are beginning to turn around.... In cynical political terms, it doesn't serve them in terms of their election interests if things are beginning to turn around."I hope nobody else in the Senate Democratic Caucus is still unclear on this concept, but I won't be surprised if more players come forward to express their shock—- SHOCK!-- that Republicans may not be quite as patriotic as they would like us all to believe. I do rather wish more people were clear on all the various aspects of the political ideology held by the people carrying the GOP banner these days, so I thought I would take a few minutes to write up for the new Mojowire what I have written elsewhere again and again and again. Update: The new blog software will take some getting used to, apparently, because this wasn't supposed to be published yet. I meant to save this as a draft. I'll be finishing it now.
