But let's talk Turkey. There was a piece in the Turkish newspaper Sabah the other day, a paper friendly to President Endrogan that all but predicts a U.S. Army staged coup in Turkey to rid Ankara of an independently thinking government...

Any snark aside, my issue here is the worldview held by the current ruling party in Turkey and their supporters, that the U.S. is essentially corrupt in its dealing with Southwest Asia. But this particular writer sees even an open election of a government friendly to the United States as a coup for the rightful rulers of Turkey, along with lots of snippy asides for the Attaturks...
That is a kind of siege mentality and sign of a mistrust of America so iconic as to border on pathological. It's like saying "How do you know America's lying... it's lips move." I honestly don't know if I am offended or alarmed...
So... anything else burning a hole in anyone craw today?
